In unseren GRADE CareerTalks berichten Führungskräfte aus Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft von ihrer persönlichen Laufbahn und aus ihrem Arbeitsalltag. Teilnehmende Promovierende und Postdocs haben die Möglichkeit mit ihnen ins Gespräch zu kommen und in ungezwungener Atmosphäre erste Kontakte in die Unternehmen zu knüpfen.

Christian Lennerz is a Managing Director of Accenture leading the Technology Strategy and Advisory (TS&A) practice in Switzerland. He studied Computer Science and Business Administration and obtained his doctorate degree in Computer Science at Saarland University in 2005. His research focused on computational geometry.
Christian spent the last 20 years in the Consulting industry where he held various roles for Accenture in the European market. He has banking, capital markets and insurance background and is focused on transforming financial services clients through data and technology.
Accenture is a multinational professional services company, specializing in technology services and consulting with 64bn USD of revenue and 730.000 employees as of 2023.

Dr. Britta Acksel: Making Utopia possible - Scientific Advisor at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy

Dr. Britta Acksel studied Cultural Anthropology and Political Science in Münster, Hastings (NE/USA), Frankfurt and, Istanbul. She completed her doctorate in Cultural Anthropology at Goethe University Frankfurt supervised by Prof. Dr. Gisela Welz and Prof. Dr. Jörg Niewöhner (HU Berlin/TU Munich) in 2022. Titled “Städte auf dem Weg zur Nachhaltigkeit. Ethnographische Einblicke und Analysen” her Dissertation was just published by transcirpt (funded by the Open Access Grant of Goethe-University).
As the title indicates (literally translated as “Cities on their way to sustainability”) the cultural anthropologist does research on different aspects of sustainability, mainly in relation to cities for many years. Starting in 2013 she was a research fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities Essen (KWI), first working for Prof. Dr. Claus Leggewie and from 2018 onwards for Prof. Dr. Julika Griem. In her time at KWI Britta Acksel was part of different inter- and transdisciplinary projects and involved in setting up the teaching lab, among other things.
